The industrial installation of Makedonia mills “E.Melisari” is a complex of R/C and prestressed concrete buildings most of which have been designed by George Penelis and have been built during the of the 60’s and the beginning of the 70’s. The complex is aesthetically dominated by the high R/C silos (56,50m) and consists also of managerial buildings, storage halls for grain and others industrial facilities. Its ownership has recently shifted to the Municipality of Elfterio – Kordelio (a suburbia area of Thessaloniki) which has decided to utilize it as a municipal cultural center.
